Former Super Eagles Coach and a four time handler of the male football National team, died on Friday night in his sleep. It was reported that he complained of chest pains before going to bed but unfortunately died in his sleep.
He was 58 years old.
Amodu was the Technical Director of the Nigerian Football Federation.(NFF)
His death came just three days after that of former super eagles capital and coach, Steven Keshi, who died in the early hours of Wednesday.
The NFF confirmed the sad departure on its official Twitter handle.
That is correct. He slept and he could not wake up, NFF secretary general, Dr Mohammed Sanusi said, confirming the big loss in the passing away of Amodu on Friday night.
The two dead tacticians, Amodu and Keshi worked together as Nigeria’s head coach and assistant coach respectively at the 2002 edition of the Africa Cup of Nations in Mali.
