One of the survivor of the mass shooting that took place at pulse night club in Orlando, said, gunman Omar mateen, spared Black People ” because they had suffered enough”
Patience Carter, was partying with two of her friends when the killer stormed in.
Patience survived the horrific attack but was hospitalized after being shot. Her friend, 18 year old Akyra Murray wasn’t so lucky.
She explained how she, Akyra and her cousin Tiara Parker were taken hostage in a bathroom of the club, when the gunman rampaged through the club, shooting everyone. He shot at them through the disabled toilet as they hid with others.
At one point, the gunman asked if anyone of the hostages were black. Patience, who is African American, was too scared to say anything but one other black guys said yes and he Omar, said he would spare them because they have suffered enough.
Mateen reportedly said:
I don’t have a problem with black people.
This is about my country. You guys suffered enough.
Patience and her friends were enjoying a night out when the Gunman stormed in and opened fire. They had crawled out through the exit but then realized that Tiara was still inside, so they both went back in to get Tiara, that was when Akyra was shot. She died from blood loss while waiting for the paramedics to reach her.
It was a shock. We went from having the time of our lives to the worst night of our lives all within a matter of minutes.
Mateen stormed into the nightclub after his father claimed he was angered by seeing two men kissing in Miami months before.
