37 year old Anton sterling sold cds right in front of a convenient store in Baton Rogue, Louisiana and was shot dead by two white police men after they responded to a 911 call. A female had called to complain that a black man was selling cds in front of a store, She claims (the caller) the black man has a gun and brandished a gun to another man to leave the store front because he wasn’t supposed to be there.
Blani salamoni and Howie lake II were the two officers that responded to the complaint.
According to eyewitness, the victim asked the police why they want to detain him but instead they yelled at him to get down on the floor but he didn’t respond. After a short while, they lunged at him and tackled him to the ground.

You f****** move and I swear to God…’ then he screamed “Gun, gun
The officer with the gun shot him five times in quick succession. One of the officers called for help but he was pronounced dead at the scene.
Several eyewitnesses have different angles of the shooting and altercation. The store owner said, he has known Alton for 6 years, he was baffled and hurt by the killing because the victim was his friend and he had given him permission to sell cds in front of his store.
In December 2014, Lake, a three- year veteran of the force was put on administrative leave for his involvement in another police killing of a black man but was later reinstated.
Both officers have been put on administrative leave as the shooting is investigated.
There had been several peace protest in Baton Rogue, since the shooting on Tuesday.
The sterling’s widow spoke at a press conference on Wednesday, on the impact his death has had on their family as the oldest of their five children is only 15 years old. He broke into hysterical sobs.
He [her son Cameron Sterling] had to watch this as this was put all over the outlets,’ Quinyetta McMillan said.
‘As a mother I have now been forced to raise a son who is going to remember what happened to his father.’ Cameron had to be removed from the press conference by a relative.
